In the book, Michael “Fuji” Powers stands at the plate just one pitch away from living out his dream. Along the way, Fuji discovers that to become a champion he can't simply live a dream; he must own his dream and commit his heart and soul to the game, family, and fellow teammates. Dr. Paul Mullen spoke to the students at Marshall with the help of Gapper. He told them about the importance of committing to their dreams early in life. They encouraged the students to become active readers. In his books, Dr. Mullen teaches wholesome, traditional values that students need to learn on their way to becoming champions.
