About Talawanda School District"Commitment to Excellence"The Talawanda School District encompasses 144 square miles and is located in Butler County, Ohio. The area is rural/suburban with 4 townships. The district is 30 miles north of Cincinnati. The district enrollment is 3033 students in pre-school - 12th grade. The district has achieved an Effective rating on the Ohio State Report Card the past 4 years scoring 0.2% from an Excellent rating. Talawanda recently opened Bogan Elementary, completing one of the phases to the District Facilities Plan. Nearly 1000 students participate in over 30 academic or service organizations each school year. Nearly 450 students participate in 45 different athletic teams offered each year. Talawanda belongs to the Fort Ancient Valley Conference (FAVC).
