The district encompasses 144 square miles, a mostly rural area surrounding the city of Oxford. Miami University is located within the district. The total population is nearly 30,000, and we serve just over 3000 students in the Talawanda school district. Talawanda has a premier educational partnership with Miami University. This offers many opportunities for post graduate courses, nearly 600 MU student volunteers help in our schools, and we enjoy the use of MU facilities on special occasions. In addition Talawanda offers a rich training environment for MU students in the education department.
Talawanda High School-Currently located at 101 W. Chestnut St. We are opening a new state-of-the-art LEED Gold High School this summer located at 5301 University Park Blvd. in Oxford, Ohio. We serve grades 9-12.
